Add Retail Price To Add Inventory, Tags & View Item
You can now specify a 'Retail' price while adding inventory or editing/updating existing inventory.  If specified, you'll now see Retail: $x.xx print on the tags -- e.g. if you specify a Retail price of $75.00, you'll see 'Retail: $75.00' print on the tag.

This is purely a 'marketing' price and does not impact or effect the actual price of the item.  It's like showing the 'MSRP' so the shopper can see what they would *normally* pay vs. the deal they're getting in your store.  :)

Transfer/Move Items from One Account to Another
You can now move items from one account to another!  Accidentally add inventory to the wrong consignor?  The 'Move Items' feature lets you move Available inventory from one account to the other.

To move inventory from one account to another, head to the account where the items are currently located.  Right-click on an item and click 'Move Items...'.  By default, the From/Through Barcode ID will be set to the item you right-clicked.  You can select the items to move based on the Barcode ID From/Through, as well as the Date-In From/Through.

Search for/select the account you'd like to move the items to and click 'View Items'.  You'll see the list of items you're about to move and once you click the 'Move!' button, you'll be asked to confirm you truly want to move these items.

Some highlights and awesome things I did for this process.  :)

• You can't set the 'Through' Barcode ID to be less than the 'From' Barcode ID -- e.g. you can't say 'Move items 200 through 100'.
• You can't set the Date-In 'Through' to be a date *before* the Date-in 'From' -- e.g. you can't say, 'Move items with a Date-in from 11/14/2017 through 11/1/2017'.
• In the list of possible destination accounts, I do not display the current account you're in -- you can't move items from/to the same account.  :)
• When you move items, I automatically create a note named 'Moved Items' in *both* the original + the destination accounts, showing which user moved the items and how many items were moved from/to, respectively.

Tag Count for Printing Multiple Tags
You can now set a 'Tag Count' on items!  This allows you to print multiple tags, for a single item.  This is not the same as 'Quantity' for an item, which would be a multi-quantity item.

Tag Count would be utilized in situations where you have a 'set' of items and want to print a tag for each -- e.g. for a set of cups, for a dining room set, etc.

I've intentionally limited the maximum Tag Count @ 20 tags.  :)

When A Per-Category Split Is In-Play, Split Should Fall-Back to Account's Split
When adding inventory, if a custom Split was specified at the Category level, if said Category was selected during the Add Inventory process, it would remain as the selected Split.  e.g. If you were entering clothing, then entered a handbag with a unique Split, then entered more clothing, the custom Split for the handbag would persist.

This is good if you're entering 10 handbags and don't want to have to keep re-selecting the Split, however, if you were only entering one handbag in the middle of a clothing consignment, subsequent clothing items would use that custom Split.

You can control this behavior under Settings > Store > Preferences @ 'Remember Split'

This ties-in with issue #676.  :)

'txtDateThrough' Error When Paying An Account & Printing a Payout Report

This report is the same one utilized when paying accounts in bulk, which offers a From/Through date selection to only pay accounts for items that sold during a particular time frame.  The individual payout routine does not (yet) have From/Through date selections, so the message was popping-up since no 'Through' date was in-play.  :)

An Item Can Be Sold Twice If the Item Is Scanned @ POS On One PC but Completed On Another
This one was a pretty big one in my eyes, but not one that would typically come up -- not that that's an excuse for not properly checking to see what the *current* state of an item is before selling it.  :)

Sherry @ Sadie's reported being able to sell an item twice.  I knew you couldn't scan/sell an item that was already sold, so it wasn't a 'Sold' item being sold again.  Since Peeps' Consignment Software logs every portion of every process, I checked the log files for the point of sale systems.

What I found was, a volunteer had scanned the item in on POS #2 and started the sale -- the item was Available, the sale was not completed yet.  Then, 10 minutes later, the same volunteer took those items over to POS #1, scanned-in the same item, then completed the sale.  5 minutes later, they went back to  POS #2 and completed the sale over there too.  :)

This is my fault for not checking the item's current status/quantity/state when it's being marked as sold.  I check when you scan the item IN to a sale, but not when you click 'Complete'.

Now, I check the item's quantity and if it's 0, it cannot be sold.  This also prevents multi-quantity items from being 'over sold' if someone scans-in the same item on two different POS stations and the quantity is sold from underneath it, during the sale.

Sticky Date-In On Add Inventory w/ Option
I've added a new 'Remember Date-In' feature under Settings > Store > Preferences.  If checked, whatever date you select will *stick* during the Add Inventory process, until you're done with that batch.

So if you're 'back-dating' or 'pre-dating' inventory and want to set the date to a Date-In other than today, you won't have to keep re-selecting the date on each item -- it will hold until you're done with that batch.  :)

Also, if you do change the date, the 'Date-In' text changes to *red* if it's a date in the past or *orange* if it's a date in the future.  This is so you can have a visual queue that the date is something other than today.

'Digital Signature' On Checks
I've added the ability to set a custom, 'digital signature' to your checks.  :)  For stores who cut checks in bulk, signing 500+ checks can be tedious.

To assign your 'digital signature' to each check, you'll first need to have your signature saved in an image format -- specifically, a .PNG file.

Next, make sure the file is named 'check_signature.png'.

And lastly, place this image file within the C:\_consignment_anywhere\reports\ folder.  There's already a placeholder, 'blank' signature file there named check_signature.png, which you can overwrite.

Christine @ Encore requested this.  :)

'System Out of Memory' Alert When Printing
When printing receipts, tags, etc. -- and especially for stores that print a LOT of these, or have multiple copies of receipts enabled -- by the end of the day, they could run into a 'System Out of Memory' warning the next time they went to print.

The print *object* benefits from being Disposed after each use, thus releasing Memory vs. just stacking on top of itself.

• Brand Stats -- Shows a total count, as well as total sold dollar amount, grouped by Brand. (Note: Brand is considered the first Category Detail in the list of Category Details for a Category).
• Tax Stats -- Shows the total dollar amount of tax collected, as well as total sold dollar amount, grouped by Tax Name.
• Account Stats -- Shows a total count of items sold, as well as total sold dollar amount, grouped by Account ID & Account Name.
• POS Misc. Item Stats -- Shows a total count, as well as total sold dollar amount, grouped by POS Misc. Item name.
• POS Coupon Stats -- Shows a total count, as well as total dollar amount redeemed, grouped by POS Coupon name.

Tag Printing Is Slow
Tag printing should be noticeably faster now.  In v2.05, I changed the tag printing routine to handle printing Markdowns on tags.  This caused tag printing to be 'slow'.

The issue was, I was doing a For Each, which made it so one tag would print, the print object would complete, then the next tag, and so on, and so on.  This meant the 'Print Tags/Labels' screen would stay open while this For Each loop was processed.

Now, I've moved the data to be printed to a database View, which means when we send the print job through, it can send all *20 tags* and close the Print Tags/Labels screen, while the tags continue to process through the print queue.

Basically, the Add Inventory and View/Edit Items screens should be even easier/clearer @ Category Details.  :)

Payout Advance for Paying Consignors A Specific Dollar Amount
We've added a new Payout Advance option!  This lets you pay a consignor a specific dollar amount, ahead of their payout.

Some tips & features about this new option:

• To do a Payout Advance, click More... > Payout Advance within the consignor's account.
• If the account's balance is at or below $0.00, you'll be alerted that cutting a Payout Advance will put their account in the hole.
• A Note is automatically added to their account, logging that a Payout Advance was done, what the amount was, and which employee cut the Payout.
• The account's History tab will be show a debit/negative entry named 'Payout Advance', in the amount of the Payout.
• The Payout's tab will show the new Check/Cash Payout that was cut.

Tray Icon Disposes/Closes if Exit, then No Is Clicked
If you right-clicked the sofware icon down in the System Tray (down by the clock), clicked 'Exit', but answered 'No' to the 'Are you sure you want to close Peeps?', the icon would go away.

Ability to Hide/Disable Category Details
You can now hide/disable Category Details that you no longer want to use or see during the Add Inventory process.  To hide a Category Detail, head to Settings > Inventory.  Select the Department > Category in question and then double-click the Category Detail, then the Detail Value.

You'll see a new 'Visibility' section and you can set the Category Detail in question to Active = Yes/No.

Any existing items will still be able to sell and function, but when you go to either Add Inventory or View/Edit Inventory, the Category Detail Value will no longer be available to choose.
