Check for 'Zebra' when selecting printers
If you select a Zebra printer for Reports/Lists or Receipts, the software will prompt you to let you know.  :)  Typically, a Zebra printer is used for printing tags.  The software won't *hard-stop* you, but you'll at least be alerted, to make sure you *really* want to use a Zebra for Reports/Lists or Receipts.  :)

Hoooooly heck, have we got a big one!  We've added a Frequent Shopper system to Peeps!  We've built an extremely robust rewards system, designed around our experiences with our customers.

To summarize:

• Create Frequent Shopper Programs so customers earn points.
• Send email + SMS notifications when they sign-up.
• Redeem points @ Point of Sale.
• Adjust points on a consignor's account (e.g. to add bonus points).
• Points earned show at the bottom of the sales receipt.

System-wide Category Sales
You can now put entire Categories on sale!  Under each Category -- e.g. Women's Jeans, Men's Shoes, etc. -- you can now specify a percent off.

To enable a sale/discount for Categories, head to Settings > Inventory and double-click the Category you'd like to put on sale.

The maximum percentage off is 99%.  :)

The 'order of discounts' when there are multiple discounts in-play @ POS, are as follows:

• Automatic markdowns
• Tag Color markdowns
• Category sales
• Manual discounts

'Quick Set'/Lock It Down! Options to Set All Access Levels
We've added one-click "Red Light, Yellow Light, Green Light" security toggles!  Now you can quickly and easily either lock-down the system, unlock the system, or set the recommended security levels.

Under Settings > Users & Security > Access Levels, you'll now see three buttons:

• Red Light -- Clicking this sets all Access Levels to 100, locking-down the system.
• Yellow Light -- *RECOMMENDED* Clicking this sets the recommended Access Levels, setting the most-sensitive sections of the software to a 100, the not-as-sensitive but still important sections to a 50, and the common areas of the software to a 1.
• Green Light -- Clicking this removes all security, setting Access Levels to a 1.

There are built-in checks before performing all of the above.  First, you'll be prompted to confirm you truly want to do this.  Next, the software will check to make sure your account is at a Level 100 before locking-down the system (so you can't lock yourself out).

We feel with the above feature, Peeps' Software has the most-robust, granular security controls, while still being extremely easy to set and configure.  :)

Recently Worked Accounts
There is now a 'Recently Viewed' accounts list!  On the Accounts tab, the 'Recent Accounts' section now contains two views -- Recently Added and Recently Viewed.

The Recently Viewed ties in with Bug ID 929 (track when an account was last viewed).

The Recently Viewed list will display a list of the last 20 accounts that have been viewed, in chronological (most-recently-viewed first) order.

You can also double-click an account from this list to go straight to the account.

BluePay Signature Capture
Signature capture for BluePay credit card processing is here!  So you can now accept digital signatures on your PIN Pad for credit card payments!

Not every payment requires a signature, so only when the card issuer sends back a 'signature required' signal to the CC processor, will a signature prompt appear.

I've also made this optional, so you don't have to use digital signatures/can disable it at any time.  This is disabled by default, so to enable signature capture for BluePay, head to Settings > Point of Sale > Credit Cards and select the 'Signature Capture' checkbox.

Signatures are stored as an image for each authorized payment.  If a signature was captured, you can view the signature on the View Sale screen by clicking the 'View Signature' button.

Signature capture has also been added to Consignor Agreements, so you can capture signatures and store it on-file for your Consignor Agreements!

Signature images are automatically backed-up when you close the software, as well as via Peeps' Automatic Backup.  :)

Peeps' Automatic Backup -- Check For/Require .DLL @ Launch
If the required 'Chilkat' library file was not present, Peeps' Automatic Backup would crash.  While this file should be present at all times, the software really should've checked for and required its existence (just like the main application does).

Now, at launch, Peeps' Automatic Backup checks for this .DLL file and if not present, automatically downloads it from Peeps' server.  :)

Peeps' Backup Doesn't Create 'Log' Folder, Alerts if Main App Hasn't Been Ran At Least Once
If the Peeps' Database Backup system was ran before the software was ever opened, it would alert that the 'log' folder didn't exist (since it was created by the main application).

Peeps' Database Backup now creates this log folder if it doesn't exist (this applies to both the manual backup, as well as the auto-backup).

Add 'Scratchpad' Accessible To All Systems on the Network
There's an all-new 'Store Scratchpad' feature!  On the 'Home' tab, you'll see a new Scratchpad.  You can use this to save notes -- e.g. for employee opening tasks, reminders, brands you're looking for, etc.

This is accessible from all of the computers on your network that are running Peeps' Software.  If you attempt to save a note but the note has changed since you started typing, you'll be prompted to discard your changes and load the latest note, or continue.

Each note revision is stored.  :)

Ability To 'Close' Appointments/Mark As 'Done'
Appointments can now be marked as 'Completed'!  To close/complete an appointment, head to Accounts > Appointment Scheduler and double-click the appointment in question.  Click the 'Mark As Completed' button and you'll be asked to confirm you really want to close the appointment.  Clicking 'Yes' will close the appointment and it will no longer display in the list of appointments.

Deactivate/Disable Split
Splits & Terms can now be deactivated!  If you have a Split you're no longer using or don't want to see when adding accounts, inventory, etc. you can disable it by un-checking the 'Active' box on the Splits 'Info.' tab.

Existing accounts and items set to this Split will continue to function as normal.

When adding new accounts or new inventory, you'll no longer see any deactivated Splits.

Also, if you attempt to deactivate the store's preferred Split for new accounts, you'll be alerted and the Split will not deactivate.  :)

Status Multi-Quantity Items -- Status All Or Just Reduce Quantity by 1
When changing the Status of a multi-quantity item, the software now prompts to ask if you'd like to reduce the Quantity to 0 (i.e. mark all of the items as X), or just reduce the Quantity by 1.

A Note is also added to the account, documenting the Quantity before and after the change.  :)

Show 'Settings > Point of Sale' as a Hint @ both POS Misc. Items + Coupons
On both the POS Coupons and the POS Misc. Items screen, I've added a 'Help Tip'/Info. icon that outlines A) what each are for and B) where these can be edited/updated.

When there are no Coupons or POS Misc. Items, the screen automatically shows 'Head to Settings > Point of Sale to add these...', but once you already have at least one Coupon or Misc. Item, the *hint* as to where these can be added/edited is no longer there, so this helps guide the user as to where these can be changed.  :)

Track 'Last Viewed' When Viewing Consignor Accounts
The software now tracks when an account was Last Viewed, as well as who it was Viewed By.  On the 'More...' tab within an account, you'll see two new fields showing each of these, respectively.

The Last Viewed ties-in with Bug ID 412, so you can see a list of Recently Viewed accounts on the Accounts tab (handy if you were just working in a consignor's account and need to get back to it quickly).

Deactivate Users/Employees
You can now deactivate employee accounts!  If an employee no longer works at the store or you need to disable a user's log-in for any reason, you can now deactivate their account.

To deactivate a user account, head to Settings > Users & Security and double-click the user in question.  On the 'Security' tab, you can now change their 'Active' statatus from Yes to No.

I've included an additional safety measure on this screen, to prevent you from deactivating your own account.  :)  If you try to deactivate your own account while logged-in, you'll be prompted and prevented from doing so.

Deactivated user accounts will not be able to log-in to the software and any failed log-in attempts, will be tracked on their account.

Signature Capture for Consignor Agreements/Contracts
Signature capture has been added for Consignor Agreements!  You can now collect a consignor's signature when printing their Consignor Agreement/Contract.

*** This is currently only available for BluePay customers with a compatible Ingenico PIN Pad! ***

To enable this new feature, head to Settings > Store > Preferences and check the box for 'Consignor Agreement Signature'.

Once enabled, when you click the 'Print Contract' button within a consignor's account, you'll be asked if you'd like them to sign.

You'll also see a new 'Signature' button on their account, under More... > Extra.  This displays their digital signature, if it's been collected.

If a signature is on file, it will be included when you print their contract, as well as when you email it to them.

Digital signatures are stored on the server computer, in the /signatures/ directory.  These are also included in the daily close-out backup, as well as the automatic backup.

You can remove a signature from a consignor's account as well (which will also be logged as a Note on their account, if deleted).

When adding a new account @ Point of Sale, once the account was added, the Total 'Balance' showing under Shopper Info., was pulling from the previous account.  I noticed this while testing the new Frequent Shopper Plan.  :)  This has been fixed!

Where as most, if not all of the 'grids'/lists throughout the software are 'DataGrids' and thus, sortable, the Users & Security lists are a 'ListView', which are not sortable.

Store Cell Phone Provider On Account (To Use for SMS/Text Notifications)
You can now specify an account's cell phone/mobile provider within their account!

This ties-in with the built-in SMS notification system.  ;)

We've added most of the major (and some minor) cell phone providers and we can easily add providers on the fly, so if you ever encounter a provider we haven't added, let us know and we can instantly add it to your system.  :)

Add A Progress Bar To Peeps' Backup
I've added a progress bar (green bar) to Peeps' Backup.  :)  There was already an on-screen log showing the activity and progress, but I felt having a progress bar provided even more 'visual communication' that the backup was in progress + shows how much time it has left.

Enable Up/Down Arrow Keys on POS Coupons & Misc. Item Selection Screens
When viewing the POS Coupons and Misc. Items screens, I've *focused* the grid/list of each when pressing either the Up or Down arrows on the keyboard.

This makes for a faster/more-intuitive navigation of these screens -- e.g. open screen, down arrow to coupon or misc. item, hit Enter to add to the sale.

Check To See if a Payout's Status is 'Voided' Before Voiding It
I realized there was nothing stopping someone from bringing up the 'View Payout' screen on one computer, then going to a second computer on the network and bringing up the same screen, voiding said Payout, then walking back over to the first computer and clicking 'Void Payout' again.  :)

Fortunately, no one has come across this scenario, but I noticed this while working on other features related to Void Payouts.

The software now checks to see if the Payout you're about to void has already been voided and if so, bails-out, lets you know, closes the View Payout screen and auto-refreshes the account so you're seeing the latest data.  :)

Items Sold (Buy Outright) Report and Multi-Quantity
This report wasn't displaying/handling multi-quantity sales, so you'd see if one item sold and there was only one, but if you had multi-quantity items, then the status of the item wasn't truly 'Sold' yet and the items wouldn't appear on this report.

The database view for itemized sales was updated back in 2.08, but this Buy Outright report didn't receive the treatment.  :)  This report now properly displays each sold iteration of a multi-quantity, Buy Outright item.

'Welcome Wizard' On/Off Toggle
The 'Welcome Wizard' can now be re-enabled on the Settings tab!

The 'Welcome Wizard' would display for new users/those in Peeps' 60-Day Trial and there was a check-box to 'Show This At Startup', but once un-ticked, the Welcome Wizard couldn't (easily) be re-enabled (without manually editing the Settings file).
