You can now deactivate/hide accounts! When viewing an account, if you click the 'Change Account Details' button, it will reveal a *hidden* option/checkbo that shows whether the account is Active or not. The 'Active' checkbox will be checked and green if the account is active, un-checked and re if the account is inactive.
Un-checking the 'Active' box and saving your changes, will mark the account as inactive and they will no longer appear in the various account search screens -- e.g. Search Accounts, Select Shopper, On-the-Fly Item @ POS, Recently Added, Recently Viewed, etc.
On the Search Accounts screen, you'll see a new 'Active' checkbox that is checked by default (and green when checked). Un-checking will reveal any accounts that have been set as inactive.

An all new Email Templates system is here! You can now create your own Email Templates to email consignors with!

There is a list of system Email Templates already in-place:
• Pick-up Items
• Most-Recent Items
• Items Entered On...
• Donation Receipt
• Consignor Contract
• Account History
• Custom Message
The messages also support automatic 'Merges', to automatically fill-in certain details. Currently, the available Merges are as follows:
• <Store> -- Inserts the Store's name
• <Name> -- Inserts the consignor's First Name
• <Date> -- Inserts today's Date
• <User> -- Inserts the currently-logged-in User
• <TotalItems> -- Inserts the total # of items for the account.

These are only available for-use on Most-Recent Items, Items Entered On..., Donation Receipt & Account History.

Scan Converted Barcodes to 'Status Inventory'
You can now scan barcodes that were converted from Liberty4 Consignment, in to the Status Inventory screen!
Converted barcodes have always been able to be scanned @ POS, but could not be scanned to change their Status -- e.g. Donated, Returned, Lost, etc.
This was most-recently requested by Pam @ Worthy Girl. :)

Alert/Notification System for Employes
There is a new Employee Alert System built-in to Peeps! You can create alerts that employees will see when logging-in to the software. We always see our customers leaving notes for their employees to do X, Y, Z when they get in in the morning. We felt having a system storeowners could utilize to build alerts for their employees, was a handy tool to have at their disposal.
You can choose to add all users, remove specific users, or just add specific users.
You can set a date the alert will trigger.
When an employee has seen the alert, you'll receive an email notification letting you know. :)
Employees can choose to print their alert, as well as view all of their alerts (both Seen and Unseen).
_____________________________________________________________________________
Show Customer's Account Balance on Select Shopper Screen
The Select Shopper screen now displays the account 'Balance' so you can see if the customer has any money owed to them, before selecting their account @ POS. :)
_____________________________________________________________________________
Ask to View Full Release Notes on "What's New?" First Pop-up After Updates :)
On version updates, when the little pop-up appears to show what's new, it now also asks if you'd like to view the entire list of Release Notes!
You can also view the Release Notes on the Help tab, in case you miss it the first time it pops-up after updating. :)
_____________________________________________________________________________
Track 'Real' Date vs. Payout Date
The 'Real Date' is now also tracked when cutting payouts. Since stores will sometimes post-date checks for a future date, being able to also see the *actual*, real date the checks were printed, comes in handy -- e.g. on reports, auditing, etc.
You can see the 'Real Date' on the View Payout screen by hovering over the 'Payout Date' field.
_____________________________________________________________________________
Item Search Within An Account
We've added a new 'Search Items...' feature within an account! You can now right-click the Items list and you'll see a new 'Search Items...' option. This opens a search window that lets you search items' Details/Description field.
We've made this a pretty powerful search, so it fits in with the way you'd naturally type what you're looking for. i.e. Whether you type 'small red jeans dkny' or 'dkny jeans red small', you'll find the item 'Women's Jeans DKNY Small Red'. :)
_____________________________________________________________________________
Ability To Remove/Delete Tax
An un-used Tax with no Tax Specifics can now be deleted!
_____________________________________________________________________________
Ability To Remove/Delete Tax Specifics
You can now delete indiviual Tax Specifics!
_____________________________________________________________________________
Better Visual Separation of 'Expired'/Store Property Items
Tying-in with Bug ID 1094 (showing the 'Expires' column), we now provide a color-coded indicator if an item is Sold, but sold after the Store Property/Expired date *and* the Net Due was $0.00.
You can enable/disable this color-coded indicator via Settings > Store > Preferences > Highlight 'Sold' for Expired Items.
_____________________________________________________________________________
Ability To Create Your Own Statuses for Inventory
You can now create your own Item Statuses! In addition to the core, system Statuses that already exist (e.g. Lost, Damaged, Donated, etc.), you can now create your own, custom Statuses.
Head to Settings > Store > More... to to manage your store's Item Statuses. You can Add new Statuses and you can Edit Statuses you've created (e.g. rename them or deactivate them).
Throughout the software, anywhere you see the Status drop-down selection -- e.g. Search Items, Reports, etc. -- you'll see your new, custom Statuses.
This was most recently-requested by Pam @ Worthy Girl. :)

Items Sold (Store) Query Not Picking-up Multi-Quantity
Updated the database view that handled store items, multi-quantity. This was actually patched prior to v2.10, but the official fix is included in v2.10.
This issue was reported by Sherry @ Sadie's!

Bulk Email/SMS Notification System To Consignors/Customers
We're proud to announce Peeps' Bulk Email/SMS Notification System! Peeps is the only consignment software that allows you to either email or text your consignors and customers in bulk -- i.e. all at once -- without fear of getting blocked or banned by your email provider for sending spam.
Head to Reports > Message Station to send either a bulk email, or bulk text.
There are a few 'auto-merges' available as well, so you can dynamically fill-in info. to make your messages unique:
<Name> -- This is where the consignor's/customer's first name will be auto-merged.
<Store> -- This is where your store name will be auto-merged.
<Date> -- This is where the current date will be auto-merged.

When Changing the Category-Level Tax, Prompt To Change Existing Inventory
We've added a handy feature, that allows for bulk-changing of existing items, from one tax to another.
Categories can be set to a unique Tax, so all items added to said Category receive a specific tax -- e.g. Jeans vs. Earrings.
Sometimes, tax laws/policies change after things have been in place for a while, or maybe you just need to change a specific Category to a new tax. For whatever reason, now, when changing the Tax on a Category, the software will prompt and ask if you'd like to change the Tax for all *Available* inventory under that Category. This way, it's not only new inventory going forward that gets the new tax, but all existing items too. :)
_____________________________________________________________________________
Custom/User-Defined Payments @ POS
You can now create your own POS Payments! On the Credit/Other screen, you'll see a new ••• button. Clicking this will display any custom payments you've created via Settings > Point of Sale > Payments. Each payment will be its own button.
Payments can be added, removed (if not in-use), and deactivated.
You can also disable the ••• button altogether (e.g. if you don't want employees to ever be able to choose these optional payments) via Settings > Point of Sale > Accept 'More'.

On Pay Accounts Screen, if 'Owed Over' Is Set, Total At Top-Right Doesn't Include
The 'Total' at the top of the Pay Accounts screen didn't refresh when changing Total Owed, From/Through dates, etc. It's a superficial total not utilized for any calculations (i.e. it's just a visual total), but it's still good to see the correct amount before proceeding. :)
This was actually fixed in a late RC of v2.09, but is officially included in the v2.10 update.
This was reported by Doris @ Attic Fanatic!
_____________________________________________________________________________
Add A 'Show Exports' Button To Go Directly To Exports Folder Under Reports
Added a 'Show Exports' button to the Reports > Exports tab, so you can view the exports folder without having to do an export. :) e.g. to see previously-exported files.
This was requested by Sherry @ Sadie's. :)
_____________________________________________________________________________
Ability To Select Cell Phone Provider During Add Account @ POS
When adding accounts @ POS, you can now set the customer's cell phone provider!
This way, if you're also adding them to a Frequent Shopper Plan, they'll receive the welcome text message on their phone. :)
This also means their account can receive marketing texts via the new, built-in Message Station!
_____________________________________________________________________________
Display 'Totals' On Each Tab Within Account Overview -- e.g. Items, History, Notes, etc.
I've added what I think is a pretty handy feature! :) On the View Account screen, on each of the tabs within an account (e.g. Items, History, Payouts, etc.) you'll now see a number next to each tab, if there are records on each of these tabs.
This way, at-a-glance, you can instantly see how many items, payouts, notes, etc. are on each screen.
_____________________________________________________________________________
Discover Payments Not Totalling on POS Payment Totals Report
When the 'Debit' Payment Type was added to the POS Payment Totals report in v2.09, it stepped on the 'Discover' payments.
Why? Intellisense/auto-complete -- when I was typing the variable that holds the amounts, totalD... -- I auto-completed for totalDebit vs. totalDiscover, so totalDiscover was reflecting totalDebit. :)
This was reported by Christine @ The Encore Shop.

Include Refunds In Primary Sales Report Totals
We've added Refunds to the Primary Sales Report, so you can view these totals in-line without having to go to the Refunds report.
Some notes about this new change:
• If you process a refund, you'll see it in the itemized list of sales.
• You'll see a new 'Refunds' total and 'Refund $' dollar amount total. These reflect the number of refunds and the total refunded dollars, respectively, for the selected date range.
• The totals such as 'Total Sales Dollars', 'Total Sales', 'Total Payment Dollars', reflect your true, real sales dollars and amounts. For example, if you had one sale for $45 today, but processed one refund for $45 as well, your 'Total Sales Dollars' would show $45, not $0, because your store truly did do $45 in sales today. Being able to see the total refund dollars though, allows you to account for this amount that 'went out the door'.
• Refund dollar amounts will appear in light-red, so they stand-out a bit more on the Primary Sales Report.
This was requested by Christine @ Encore and Sherry @ Sadie's. :)

Printing Multi-Quantity, Multi-Tag Items Doesn't Print Sequentially
Sherry @ Sadie's reported an issue when printing tags that are multi-tag-quantity items. It would print item 1, 2, 3, then 1, 2, 3, etc. instead of printing the items with their respective tag quantities -- e.g. 1, 1, 1, 1, 1 then 2, 2, 2, then 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, etc.
This was causing by the ORDER BY, or lack thereof, on the tag printing database view. This was already patched for any stores experiencing this, but the official database view update is officially included in this v2.10 update. :)

Keep 'Go!' Button on Log-in Screen Disabled, Until Both Username + Password Have Text
I thought the 'Go' button to log-in should remain disabled while the Username and Password fields are blank. I think it looks nicer and I think it provides a clear "You can't log-in until you enter *something* to try and log-in with!" :)
This button will remain disabled until both the Username and Password fields contain something.
_____________________________________________________________________________
An Option to Set ALL New Accounts to A Specific Frequent Shopper Program
You can now set a preferred Frequent Shopper Plan for all new accounts (added @ POS)! If you'd like to automatically set each new account @ POS to one of your rewards plans, head to Settings > Point of Sale > Rewards and you can selected the 'Plan for New Accounts'.
Once set, this will automatically set all new accounts added @ POS to the plan you've selected.
If you manually select a *different* plan when adding an account @ POS (e.g. for a VIP customer), their account will be set to the plan you selected while adding their account.
This was requested by Traci @ Frugality. :)

When 'Change Account Details' Is Active, Make All Fields + Box 'Green' for Visual ID
When clicking 'Change Account Details', all of the active fields on the account now become bright green, to provide a strong visual that you're *currently in edit mode*.
_____________________________________________________________________________
Show All Categories Currently On-Sale, Clear All Option
There's a new 'Active Discounts' tab that will be visible on the Settings > Categories screen, if any Categories are currently on sale! If no Categories are on-sale, this tab will automatically hide.
From this list, you can either clear all discounts, or clear the discount for a specific Category. :)
_____________________________________________________________________________
Change 'Search' Functions to Trigger on 'KeyUp' Event, Not 'TextChanged' Events
When searching on the Search Items screen, I've changed the 'event' to happen when the key on your keyboard is on its way up. This instead of as the text itself changes.
Subtle, but I noticed if you held down a key on your keyboard -- e.g. 'ggggggggggg' -- the search events 'stacked up' and you had to wait a second while a search for each 'g' was fired.
Moving this to the 'key up' event, prevents any waiting -- I'm sure no one ever even experienced this, but I saw it and I like our software to be snappy and responsive at all times. :)

Charts, charts, CHARTS!!!
There are a BUNCH of new, colorful charts to better-help you visualize your store data! On the Reports tab, there's a new Charts button. You'll find the following charts:
• Items by Day
• Items by Month
• Sales by Hour
• Sales by Day
• Sales by Month
• Top Categories
• Top Brands
• Items by User
• Sales by User
• Sales by Day of Year
Some handy things you can do with these charts:
• Click to save to your Desktop
• Click to print
• Click to email
• Change the color 'temperature'
• Click to set your preferred Chart
_____________________________________________________________________________
Access Levels for View Account, Search Accounts, Search Inventory
We've added new employee Access Levels for View Account, Search Accounts, and Search Inventory! These are set to a Level 1 by default and when set, prevent employees from viewing accounts, searching accounts, or searching inventory, respectively.
_____________________________________________________________________________
Ability To *Not* Print POS Receipts At All
Receipt printing @ POS can now be disabled completely!
Not many stores *don't* print receipts, but some do (e.g. those who don't use a receipt printer). While you could always use the receipt printing prompt and click 'No', you still had to select 'No' when completing a sale.
Under Settings > Point of Sale, you can now set the Receipt # to 0. Also, if this is set to 0, it will automatically un-check the 'Prompt Before Printing Receipt' option for you. :)
_____________________________________________________________________________
Prompt to Select Shopper @ POS
There's a new 'Prompt for Customer' option for POS! You can now enable a prompt to *suggest* employees select a customer/shopper account when starting a sale.
If this is enabled (Settings > Point of Sale), the Select Shopper screen will appear when starting a new sale (if a customer isn't already selected).
_____________________________________________________________________________
Require Shopper Before Completing A Sale
There's a new 'Require Customer' option @ POS! If enabled (Settings > Point of Sale), a customer account will be required before you can complete a sale.
_____________________________________________________________________________
Ability to Set From/Through Dates On Consignor's Pay Account Screen
You can now specify the From/Through Dates on the Pay Account screen, to restict/limit what you're about to pay an individual consignor for.
You could do this on the bulk Pay Accounts screen, just not the individual Pay Account screen.
_____________________________________________________________________________
'Total Paid-Out To Date' on an Account's 'More...' Tab Reflects Voided Payouts
While working on the new 'tab' totals that show on each tab within an account, I noticed the totals for items didn't reflect the amount of actual rows on the Items tab -- this is because the query for the totals was selecting all items and not *excluding* voided items.
Which is when I noticed the totals for total payouts, was also including voided payouts. :)
_____________________________________________________________________________
'Total Items' on an Account's 'Summary' Screen, Reflects Voided Items
While working on the new 'tab' totals that show on each tab within an account, I noticed the totals for items didn't reflect the amount of actual rows on the Items tab -- this is because the query for the totals was selecting all items and not *excluding* voided items.
This total now reflects the total number of items, excluding voided items. :)
_____________________________________________________________________________
Remember View vs. Print Selection on Date Selector Pop-up
The Date Selector's View/Print option is now *sticky* -- i.e. it will save based on whichever option you click. :)
_____________________________________________________________________________
Ability To Sell An Item To the 'Owner' @ POS, While Crediting the Consignor
With the addition of custom POS Payments @ Point of Sale, storeowners can now buy items from their own store, without paying with 'real' money (e.g. cash, Visa, etc.), while still crediting the consignor. :)
This was requested by Pam @ Worthy Girl!
_____________________________________________________________________________
Show 'Expires' Column on Items Tab Within An Account
The 'Expires' date is now visible on the Items tab within an account!
This was requested by Pam @ Worthy Girl :)
_____________________________________________________________________________
Option to Enable/Disable the Items Tab Column 'Auto-Fill' Setting
I've added a new option that lets you control the 'auto-fill/fit' setting for the Items tab within an account.
By default and up until now, the column headers 'fill' so there's no scroll-bar at the bottom. With the addition of more columns to the Items query/view, the columns can get pretty 'tight'/close together, so I've added an option that lets the column headers auto-size to the width of the data in each column.
This can be enabled/disabled via Settings > Store > Preferences > Auto-fit Items Tab Columns. :)
_____________________________________________________________________________
Adding Items On-the-Fly @ POS Showed Both Date & Time for Date-in
When adding items @ POS via the On-the-Fly feature, the Date-in for the item would display both the date and the time (vs. only the date).
This was due to Now() vs. Now.Date() being used. :) Now items added via On-the-Fly will no longer show the time, only the date.
Of course, the ' Real Date' is still tracked, so you can see the exact time within the item itself, if needed.
_____________________________________________________________________________
'Allow Override' Option for Tax Specifics
The 'Allow Override' option has been enabled on Tax Specifics! This allows states with 'compound taxes', one of which CANNOT be exempted -- e.g. 4% and 3% -- to enable/disable whether or not the Tax Specific can be exempted during a tax free sale.
_____________________________________________________________________________
Ability To Delete Accounts
You can now delete accounts! By default, this option is OFF. You can enable this under Settings > Store > More... > Show Delete Accounts Option.
To delete an account, click Change Account Details -- the Delete This Account button will become visible. An account cannot be deleted if it has items, history, payouts, notes, or shopping history associated with. You *can* deactivate the account in that situation though. ;)
This is not only logged in the user log file, this is logged in the centralized database activity log.
_____________________________________________________________________________
Search By Account ID for Select Shopper @ POS
You can now search by Account ID on the Select Shopper screen.
_____________________________________________________________________________
Activity Log (Centralized)
While we store nearly every click, view, etc. within a log file, we have added a centralized database log to the software.
This for core, sensitive functions (e.g. deleting accounts), so there's always a log of things that happened.
_____________________________________________________________________________
Accounts with Balances Report
There's a new Accounts with Balances report! This provides a quick way to see any accounts with open balances, whether they be in the hole (below $0.00) or that you owe money-to.
_____________________________________________________________________________
End-of-Day Summary Shows 'n/a' if Reports Tab Has Not Been Clicked
If 'Use End-of-Day' was enabled (to auto-print reports at the end of the day), if the Reports tab had never been viewed that day, the Summary report would show 'n/a' for all totals.
This has been fixed and was purely my fault @ not pulling the totals directly vs. pulling them only when the Reports tab was loaded. Since the auto-print at end-of-day was added later on, this was an issue only revealed once auto-print was enabled. :)
This was reported by Pam @ Worthy Girl!
_____________________________________________________________________________
If There's a CC Processing Error, Provide A Quick Way to 'Get Around' This
When relying on a 3rd party system -- e.g. a credit card processor -- unexpected events can happen. Something I've seen in all of the consignment programs, is the payment can go through in the real world, but the sale isn't complete in the software, due to an unexpected error or issue -- e.g. Internet drops.
So in Peeps, I've made so if this happens, the software will detect this and allow the sale to complete, without re-trying the credit card payment again.
This should make it so you can't get *stuck* with a payment that's gone through, but no way to complete the sale without temporarily disabling the built-in CC processing.
_____________________________________________________________________________
Reports 'Accounts With Valid Email' & 'Accounts Without Valid Email'
New, simple reports to show both accounts with a valid email, as well as accounts without an email (valid or not).
The software automatically detects invalid emails entered when creating and updating accounts, so in theory, there should never even be an account with an invalid email. :)
_____________________________________________________________________________
'Jump' Straight to Barcode Within an Account
There's a new 'Jump to Barcode...' option when right-clicking the Items list within an account!
You can type or scan-in a Barcode ID and if it's found, you'll be taken directly to the selected item in the list.
_____________________________________________________________________________
Custom MySQL Server Port Number
The Port number for MySQL server can now be specified. This is really only for-use in *advanced* situations, but still needs to be documented in version changes/update release notes. :)
_____________________________________________________________________________
Inventory > Date-in Filter for Reports
The Date From/To can now be specified on the Inventory reports -- e.g. Items Priced Over/Under, Items by Category, etc.
_____________________________________________________________________________
We've added a bunch of additional Accounts reports!
• Account History List -- Provides a detailed, itemized report of all entries for account History. This ties-in with the ability to create custom History Types.
• Account History Summary -- Provides a summary of each History entry on an account. The 'Sold Item' and 'Refunded' item entries are filtered-out of this report, so you can quickly see totals for History entries such as New Account Fees, or custom History Types you've create.
• Accounts with Balances -- Shows a list of accounts with Balances, whether they be positive balances (you owe them money) or negative balances (they owe the store money).
• Accounts with POS Purchases -- Shows a list of accounts that have shopped in your store, along with their total purchase amount!
• Accounts with Email -- Shows a list of accounts with *valid* email addresses.
• Accounts without Email -- Shows a list of accounts without *valid* email addresses. While Peeps' Software prevents invalid emails from being entered when an account is created and/or updated, it's still a handy report to have.

Improved Inventory by Account Report
Sorry, but we are just CRUSHING it over here! :D We constantly strive to make the software better and this report, is one I looked at and knew could be improved.
Some of the improvements I've added:
• Ability to filter on Price
• Cleaner grouping with faded/gradient bands
• Total Items, Qty. Count, Total Price, Avg. Price, Total Cost, Qty. Cost, Consigned, BOR, Available, Sold, Returned, Donated, and Expired totals in the footer of each account's items
• Expired items show in red for their date + the Expired total shows in red if > 0 Expired items
• 'Bulkier' footer summary at the end of the report, not only visually, but with the addition of Total Available, Total Consigned, Total BOR, and Total Expired
_____________________________________________________________________________
Preview Payout Items on Pay Accounts Screen
On the Pay Accounts (a.k.a. Bulk Checks) screen, you can now double-click an account in the list to preview the items/History entries they're about to be paid for.
This was requested by Doris @ Attic Fanatic. :)
_____________________________________________________________________________
Ability to Set Preferred Reports Tab
It wasn't even on the list for v2.10, but I added the ability to set a preferred Charts tab, so I figured this could come in handy on the main Reports screen as well. :)
So you can now set your preferred Reports tab -- e.g. Sales, Inventory, Accounts, etc. -- by clicking the Reports icon at the top-left of the screen.
_____________________________________________________________________________
A Simple Expired Items Report
We've added a straight-up, super-simple 'Expired Items' report! Plain and simple, it shows a list of inventory (grouped by account), that is still Available and beyond the Store Property/Expire date.
You'll see a total number of items, total accounts, total price, etc. at the end of the report.
There's also a corresponding Expired printout within a consignor's account! Head to the More... tab within a consignor's account to print a list of Expired items.
_____________________________________________________________________________
Option To Both View & Print 'Aged' Account Balances & Inventory
When the 'Show Old Items' and/or 'Show Old Balances' prompts are enabled, you can now choose whether or not you'd also like to view this list of items/accounts, as well as print them out. :)
One of the biggest issues I see storeowners face, is 'stale' data -- i.e. accounts or items that are well-beyond a reasonable time, but nothing was telling them about it.
So now, not only does Peeps' Software prompt to let you know you have X items over X days old, or balances over X days old, you can now view + print these out.
The goal being, to help store owners run the tightest ship possible and prevent 'stale' data -- which can turn-in to a real chore.
_____________________________________________________________________________
Update Help File to Reflect All Current Features from v2.09-v2.10
I've updated the Help File to reflect all changes and feature updates through v2.09 & v2.10!
You'll also see a little 'Help' icon (the little, red life preserver icon) at the top of virtually every screen in the software. This being more-intuitive than hitting F1 on your keyboard. :) Which, you can still do on any screen!
_____________________________________________________________________________
