You can set the account you'd like to use for your Peeps' Emailer test messages!  In Peeps' Emailer, click the Settings button and you can specify the account you'd like to use for sending test emails.

Once set, when you click the 'Test' button in Peeps' Emailer, your recipient list/Audience is immediately switched to your test account so you can quickly test/preview your newsletters before sending.  :)

Peeps' Emailer now automatically sets a default 'Subject' for new newsletters!  This way, you don't have to come up with something fancy if you don't want to.  :)

The default Subject is "<StoreName> Newsletter • 11/23/2022" and your store name is automatically merged.  :)  You can change this of course, but it's nice to at least have a basic one set out of the box.

There are two new handy buttons for copying/pasting text out of/into your Peeps' Emailer message body!

There are two new icons -- green 'Up' and 'Down' arrows.  The 'Down' allows you to paste the text currently copied to your clipboard.  The 'Up' allows you to copy the entire message body to your clipboard.  Both come in handy when editing newsletters.  :)

  3603 Peeps2Go -- Automatically Detect Low Resolution/Small Pictures (Edited With Mobile Apps) Enhancement   False
   
   
Peeps2Go now automatically detects (and notifies) potentially too-small images uploaded from mobile devices.

We had an experience with a client that noticed the pics on Shopify weren't super crisp.  When we checked the image locally, in Peeps, it was pretty darned tiny -- under 400px wide.  Even though the pics were taken on a new iPhone, they were being edited in an app to remove the background.  The default setting for said app was to 'optimize' the images -- i.e. to make them 400px or smaller (likely for IG/social media).  Fortunately, the app provided an option to NOT optimize the images, providing up-to 2400px images.

So Peeps2Go now checks for any images 600px wide or smaller.  600px isn't crazy small, but anything under that might warrant an alert to check the source of the pics.

This is also a definable setting, so it can be adjusted as needed.

Same as in Bug ID 3590, this same QuickFlip feature is also right in Peeps' Software!  So if you're already at a workstation and need to 'flip' a console/kiosk into full Peeps mode, just head to Settings > Touch Consoles and you can 'Switch to Full Peeps' on any of your Touch Consoles!

There's an awesome feature we've introduced for stores running MiniPeep Touches for kiosks, consignor consoles, etc. -- i.e. 'QuickFlip' to switch from a Kiosk to full Peeps in one click!

You're a store with a MiniPeep Touch and it's great having a stand-alone smart system or display for consignors/new accounts to see and verify their info. -- but what if there's a time when having a "smart display" just isn't necessary?  All of our MiniPeep Touch systems seemlessly switch between being a kiosk/Consignor Console, or a full workstation running Peeps' Software!  :)

Being able to do all of this right from Peeps2Go, means you never have to walk back to a workstation and mess with a mouse and a keyboard -- just tap and your console/kiosk already has Peeps open and ready to log-in!

This means you can do the following:

• Tap 'QuickFlip' to switch the kiosk to full Peeps.
• Pull the smart screen out of its kiosk stand.
• Have a hand-held point of sale system for ringing-up sales!
• Have a stand-alone item entry/buy station with a full mouse and keyboard!

We thought it was important to make it so our Consignor Consoles and kiosks could not only easily function as just that, but also be able to quickly 'flip' into a full Peeps station in those moments where you're really busy or intake is backed-up.

Digital Tags are here!  With Peeps2Go in-store, you can now quickly and easily make a Digital Tag/Smart Sign for items!

This is great for high-end items such as handbags, larger items such as furniture, or any item you want to draw attention to.

Peeps Digital Tags look great on inexpensive iPads (click here to see this in action!) and automatically update in real-time!  So any price changes or markdowns are automatically reflected on your Digital Tag.  :)

We've made it dead-simple to make a Digital Tag for your items!  In Peeps2Go, just tap the 'Item Signs' button on your Home screen, then type in the Barcode ID of the item -- your sign appears and is ready to be placed on a stand!

You can also make your Digital Tag from within Peeps' Software itself (Bug ID 3574), using our new AirAttach feature.  :)

  3571   Peeps2Go -- Auto-Rotate Pics for Me (e.g. When Taken in Portrait) Enhancement   True
 
   
   
There's a new 'Auto-Rotate' option when taking pics in Peeps2Go!  By default, if you hold *many* phones in Portrait mode -- e.g. the way you hold it when texting, normal usage, etc. -- when you take a pic, the pic will be 'sideways' on the computer -- and thus, in Peeps, on Shopify, etc.

Sure, in most instances, holding your phone in the Landscape orientation is actually better for pictures -- just like how your computer screen is or a big screen TV is!  Some times though, that's not the case.

We added the ability to rotate images right within Peeps2Go, which is handy, but why not add an automatic 'Auto-Rotate' so if someone *does* want to take a pic in the Portrait orientation, it lets them!

You'll see the little option for this right on the Add Pics screen where you tap to take the pic from your phone/tablet.  This is OFF by default, which is how it's been all along.  You can tap to turn this on though and even toggle it on/off on-the-fly if you'd like!  Sometimes there might actually be a pic you want to take in Portait orientation -- for whatever reason -- and now you can do just that!

Now when you take a pic and your phone is still in Portrait orientation, the pic no longer goes in sideways and shows exactly as it did when you took the pic.  :)

This same Auto-Rotate is also applied to the various places where the all-new Peeps2Go AirAttach feature is utilized too!  :)

HOLY CRAP, IT'S HERE!!!  Yes, not only can you now attach images to texts for your Peeps' Texter texts blasts, but how do you get the picture on your computer?  What if you're looking at a haul of Louis bags right in front of you, but you don't have a picture on your computer -- what to do?

Just grab your phone -- introducing, Peeps2Go AirAttach!!!  :)

Instead of having to transfer a picture from your phone to your computer, emailing yourself the picture, etc. just click the 'Peeps2Go' button in Peeps' Texter and scan the code with Peeps2Go on your phone -- voila!  Peeps2Go AirAttach instantly attaches a live picture from your camera, or grab a pic you've already taken in your camera roll.

Then BOOM -- as soon as you take the pic with Peeps2Go AirAttach, Peeps' Texter instantly sees it and continues on so you can finish your text and get that blast out the door!

There's an all new 'Vendor Home Screen' for Peeps2Go!  For antique and crafts malls allowing vendors to enter inventory from home/away, instead of them just landing on the item entry page when they log-in, they now have a proper 'Home' screen.

Currently this just displays their basic information and provides their 'Add Inventory' button so they can start entering items.  They can also return to the Home screen at any time.

This new Vendor Home Screen will continue to expand though, so keep an eye out and if there's more you'd like to see in the Vendor Home Screen section of Peeps2Go, let us know!

You can now set the # of years your Sales By Month chart will show right from Peeps2Go!

Previously, you could control the # of years to show right in Peeps' Software @ Settings > Store > Online > Peeps2Go Settings.  Now, you can just do it right from your phone!

You'll see a new button directly below the chart -- # of Years.  This is a quick-tap button that lets you choose from 1-4 years then voila!  Your charts for Peeps2Go are instantly updated!

  3486   Schedule Peeps' Layaway Reminder Email from Within Store Options! Enhancement   True
 
   
   
Peeps' Layaway Reminder system can now be controlled from Store Options!  To enable layaway reminder emails for overdue layaways, head to Settings > Store > Policies.  In your Layaways section, you'll see the new 'Automatic Reminder' button.  This lets you choose the day of the week and the time to send your reminder emails to customers.

And all of Peeps' 'Reminder' systems now support HTML templates!  We include an HTML template that is fine for most stores, but this can be completely customized, from color, to logo -- oh, and did we mention you can automatically include your logo in these reminders too?  ;)

Peeps' Layaway Reminder System also has a built-in safety mechanism to prevent you from sending large amounts of emails -- you're automatically emailed should you try to send a large amount of messages and Peeps' Layaway Reminder System stops.

You can now do Buy Outright inventory from Peeps2Go!  Previously, Cost and Buy Outright in general, was suppressed in Peeps2Go.  Now you can do full Buy Outright in Peeps2Go, just as you would in Peeps!

And it works the same in Peeps2Go as it does in Peeps -- i.e. if you're doing pure Buy Outright (which means the account has 'BOR $' enabled), the account receives their buy amount for the item and if you're doing Buy Outright for store-owned inventory, your account History doesn't get the buy amount added for payout!

If/when you're doing an item for an account that's Buy Outright, you'll automatically see the Cost field on the Add Inventory screen -- it will be required as well.  And the same is true as in Peeps  -- if BOR $ is on, the account gets their buy amount, but if that is off (like it is for your Store Account), no History amount is added!

There's a great little feature for the Peeps2Go Add Inventory screen -- it now shows 'Last Item' after you hit Save!

Similar to how Peeps shows you the current list of items you're entering as you go, Peeps2Go has a mini-version of this @ showing the Last Item.  :)

This should be handier @ keeping your spot for the current item you're entering!

I've revised and enhanced the workflow of the Peeps2Go Mobile 'Add Inventory' system, so you can now enter inventory remotely for ANY account!

Previously, Peeps2Go Add Inventory system was either for consignors/vendors/dealers to enter their own inventory from home/away, or for storeowners to enter inventory into their own account.

Now, you can select any account during the item entry process in Peeps2Go and enter inventory for any consignor!

DO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS!!!???

Since you can now enter inventory for any account via Peeps2Go...

And since Peeps2Go runs on anything from iPads and Android phones, to Chromebooks (i.e. nice, inexpensive laptops!), and Macs...

AND since you don't pay per-device for a Peeps2Go license (stores on Peeps' Support don't pay anything at all!), you can do item entry on as many devices as your system can handle!!!

So during those busy times of the year, you don't need to add full computers and purchase a workstation license for Peeps -- you can just use Peeps2Go and enter inventory from a variety of devices!!!

When running itemized reports (@ All Reports > Reports) against large datasets, Peeps would throw a MySQL Timeout Error.

Two factors have been addressed here.  First is the MySQL ODBC connector used for reports.  Second is the additional, inline 'Max Execution Time' override (which Peeps allows to be set via config file), which really is the key.

Any additional lists and in-account reports will receive this over the next few updates, but addressing the core Reports was paramount for this release.

From Peeps' Software, you have full access to control, update, toggle, and more your MiniPeep Touch Consoles, including:

* Any of these can be done to one device or all devices!

• Pushing a new logo
• Pushing a new Welcome Message
• Pushing a new Thank You message
• Switching modes -- Consignor Console, Kiosk Mode, Employee Kiosk, etc.
• Closing/opening Peeps' Touch Console
• Easy toggle to switch to full Peeps' Software (great for when you want to pull your Touch Console out of the kiosk stand and use it as a full, handheld point of sale station or a sit-down intake station with full keyboard!)
• Reboot the Touch Console (yes, you can actually reboot these from another computer, from Peeps!)
• Add/replace the device's picture
• Set a PIN for the Touch Console
• Much more!

And from Peeps2Go on a handheld device, you can also control your Touch Consoles, including:

• Add/replace the device's picture
• Send a 'Test Message' to the device
• Close/open Peeps' Touch Console
• Reboot the Touch Console
• Switch to full Peeps!

The devices all check-in on a regular basis too, so you have a full view of which devices are online, when their last check-in was, etc.

This Touch Console Management system will continue to grow (if you can imagine it doing even more!) and I'm looking forward to seeing the new ways stores utilize our MiniPeep Touch Console kiosk system!

There's an all-new 'QR Code for Mobile Access' button in Peeps2Go!  This allows you to easily add Peeps2Go to new devices, by simply scanning your store's QR code!

When setting-up additional devices -- e.g. an iPad for employees, an employee's cell phone, etc. -- just open Peeps2Go any of your existing devices and tap the 'QR Code for Mobile Access' button.  You'll have two QR codes available -- one for 'External Access' and one for 'Internal Access'.  There's a little help tip beneath each one, explaining when to scan which code.  e.g. If you're only using Peeps2Go in-store, while on your store's WiFi, scan the 'Internal Access' QR code and you're all set!

This new QR code system makes adding new devices a breeze!

You can now copy Pricing Suggestions from one Category to another!  This is SUPER handy if you've built a bespoke list of Pricing Suggestions under one Category and want to use the same Pricing Suggestions for another Category.

To copy Pricing Suggestions, just head to the Category's Pricing Suggestions you want to copy.  Then, select the Department > Category you want to copy Pricing Suggestions TO.

If the 'destination' Category already has Pricing Suggestions, Peeps will prompt to let you know you're about to replace them with the new ones (and you can choose to bail-out, if you're not sure).

That's it!  Now you don't have to manually re-enter that price list on another Category.

Peeps2Go users will notice a refreshed look to the Home screen buttons!  Where Peeps2Go was once a single screen app for viewing the store's stats for the day/week/month/years in real-time, the Peeps2Go platform has expanded to become so much more!

For the Home screen, the amount of buttons had grown as new features and functions were added.

Now the Home screen shows your core function buttons -- e.g. Stats, Add Inventory, Add Accounts, etc. in blue.

Next is the Add Pics button, which is still nice and bright orange for quick access under your thumb.  Directly after that though, is the new Edit/Delete Pics button!

Then the new changes come in.  You'll find the first of your 'extra' buttons in flat grey, the first of which is the 'Account Sign-up' App -- this lets you install a dedicated iPad or tablet to be used as a customer sign-up, with SMS and email sign-up consent too!

Then are the 'grouped' buttons, including Add Alerts and the all new 'Punch System' app, which lets you install a dedicated iPad or tablet as a timeclock for employees!!!

The standouts of these 'grouped' buttons being the all new 'Touch Consoles' for your MiniPeep Touch systems, as well as the new 'Add  Peeps2Go' button so you can instantly deploy Peeps2Go on new devices!

You can now mark appointments as 'Missed'!  This allows you to flag an appointment if it's missed, which is helpful when booking future appointments for accounts.

To mark an appointment as Missed, there are two ways to do so:

• From the Appointment Scheduler screen, right-click on the appointment and click 'Mark as Missed'.
• From within the appointment itself, click the 'Mark Missed' button.

Any missed appointments will show an orange color indicator both on the Appointment Scheduler screen, as well as on the Appointments tab within an account.  This helps quickly notice missed appointments.

Peeps will also alert when adding a new appointment, if the account holder has any previously-missed appointments.

There's a new 'Force Punch-out' feature that allows you to punch-out a user who forgot to clock-out -- e.g. someone forgot to punch-out and has gone on vacation.

To force punch-out a user, click the Punch List button to view the list of users currently punched-in/out.  Right-click on the user in question and click 'Force Punch-out'.  You'll be prompted to confirm before punching-out as well.

If you attempt to punch-out your own account, Peeps will prompt that force punches cannot be done on your own account.

Peeps also checks to confirm if the user really is punched-in, before force punching-out the user.

And lastly, there's a new Access Level for this feature, so you can prevent unauthorized access to the Force Punch-out feature.  This Access Level defaults to 100 (the highest security level).

Now, focus automatically returns to either the Department or the Category field, based on which has something selected, if anything at all.

When entering inventory, if you were utilizing the mouse vs. typing/entering via keyboard, when you clicked the 'Save Item' button, 'focus' of the cursor wouldn't return to the first field (i.e. Department or Category).  Instead, focus was 'off form', so you had to either click in one of the fields (which wouldn't always work), or hit Tab on the keyboard to get the cursor out of the space it was in.

You can now create your own, custom Payout Types in Peeps!  Instead of just the static list of Payout Types -- i.e. Check, Cash, PayPal, and Forfeit -- you can now add to this list and even deactivate Payout Types you might not utilize.

To create your own Payout Types, head to Settings > Store > More and you'll find the new Payout Types button.

And this, of course, ties in to all/any reports that allow you to report on specific Payout Types too!

There are two new Appointment Scheduler settings!  In this release, there's a 'Max # of Appointments Per Day' setting, as well as a 'Max # of Appointments Per Time Slot' setting.  This allows you to set a limit on how many appointments can be booked on a specific date, as well as how many can be booked for a specific time on the same date.

To access these new settings, click the 'Settings' icon at the top of the Appointment Scheduler screen.  The default setting is zero (0) for both of these, which you can leave it set at for no max.

There's a new 'Select Date' pop-up when viewing/printing Till Totals!  Previously, Till Totals were always for 'today'.  Now, a little date selector will pop-up when you click Totals, allowing you to either quickly hit Enter for 'today', or quickly type/select a date and then hit Enter.

This is an optional setting, which is on by default.  If you'd like to disable this new feature, click the Settings icon on your Till screen!

  2716   'No Appointments' Flag for Accounts Feature Request   True
 
 
 
You can now block specific accounts from booking appointments!  Within each account, on the 'More...' tab, there's a new 'Appointments' checkbox.  This box is checked/appointments are allowed by default.  If you have a specific account you'd like to flag/block for appointments, you can un-check this option on their account.

There's an additional feature that goes along with this, under your Appointment Scheduler Settings called "Allow 'Blocked' Accounts to Book Appointments".  By default, this is un-checked, so if someone attempts to book an appointment for a blocked account, Peeps will alert that they're not allowed to schedule appointments.

If you'd like to have the option to override that and allow a blocked account to book anyway, un-check this Appointment Scheduler option and Peeps will still alert you, but will let you choose whether or not you'd like to continue booking the appointment.

You can now set a unique PIN for each employee in your store!  Currently, employee PINs can be used in your Peeps2Go timeclock system, so employees can easily and quickly punch-in/-out!

To set a user's PIN, head to their User Account @ Settings > Users/Security.  On their 'Security' tab within their account, you'll find the new PIN field.

Once set, an employee can use this to punch-in/-out from a tablet in your store!

You can now specify how frequently Peeps syncs with Shopify!  By default, Peeps syncs with Shopify every 30 minutes.  You can adjust this via Settings > Store > Online > Shopify Settings.  When configuring the Automatic Sync, you'll be able to set the number of minutes for the Automatic Sync.  The lowest value is 15 minutes, the highest is every 60 minutes.

Woohoo!  You can now rotate pics right from Peeps2Go!  From the Home screen in Peeps2Go, where the button used to say 'Delete Pics' and you'd specify for which item you'd like to delete pics, now the button says 'Edit/Delete Pics'.

And instead of only having a Delete button for each pic, you now have a Rotate Image button!  Each click of the Rotate Image button rotates the image 90° clockwise.

This is SUPER handy if you just got a new phone or aren't sure which orientation works best for taking pics and you need to quickly rotate the pics right there in Peeps2Go -- much faster than doing so on the item in Peeps' Software at your computer!

When attempting to start a Layaway with no payments, the prompt now shows the minimum amount due if the Layaway Deposit Minimum option is in effect.

Previously, Peeps would only show the minimum amount required when attempting to start the Layaway, but at least one payment had already been added.

This way, you can see what the customer is required to pay before taking any payments!

You can now create and sell POS Misc. Items with 'variable' amounts!

Instead of the amount being defined for each POS Misc. Item, if you leave the Price at $0.00 when creating a new one, or when updating an existing one, Peeps will handle this POS Misc. Item in a special way when used @ POS!

Peeps will prompt when you enter one of your $0.00 POS Misc. Items in a sale, so you can enter the dollar amount for it on-the-fly!

There are safety measures built-in to prevent invalid amounts, as well as extremely high amounts -- Peeps will prompt to anything over $50.00 here, since these are typically not utilized for high-priced items.

You can now control the Appointment Reminder System directly from Peeps!  Peeps' Software has a built-in Appointment Reminder System, to send out email reminders the day before an appointment's date.  To control/enable this, it had to be done directly from the .exe itself.

You can now enable Reminders from the Settings screen on the Appointment Scheduler screen.

Reminders run daily at a specific time which you can set/change.  The default time is 9:00 AM every day.

You can now scan a driver license/state ID to fill-in a new account's information!  When adding accounts, you'll see a new 'Scan ID' button.  Simply click this and you'll see a friendly screen asking you to scan the ID.  Scan the consignor's/customer's ID and the on-screen display will show you as it scans and reads the ID, then automatically fills-in the account fields for you!

You can scan IDs on the main Add Account screen, as well as if you add an account from Point of Sale.

There's also a setting on the Add Account screen, allowing you to disable the Scan ID button altogether, if your store doesn't utilize this feature.

Most "2D" barcode scanners have the ability to scan the type of barcode on the back of driver licenses/state IDs -- i.e. PDF417 Barcode.  Some scanners capable of scanning this barcode, might not be pre-programmed to do so though and might require configuration in order to scan IDs.  All new scanners purchased from The Computer Peeps come pre-configured to scan PDF417 Barcodes!

There's a new and SUPER-handy shortcut for Tag Color Discounts -- i.e. the All 'This Year' button!

For Tag Color Discounts, you can now instantly change just the year for your Tag Color Discounts from the top of the Tag Colors screen.

When clicked, you'll be asked if you'd like to change BOTH the 'Discount Dates' year, as well as the 'Set New Inventory...' year.

This means that in one click, you can instantly set all of your Tag Color Discounts for the ENTIRE YEAR!!!  :)

There's an all-new "How'd You Hear About Us?" system!  You can now create and track how customers heard about your store with each sale!

To create new 'Heard About' entries, head to Settings > Point of Sale > Heard About.

To use your new Heard About entries, Peeps provides three options for flexibility:

• A large, touch-friendly button on Point of Sale that allows employees to manually click/tap and ask the customer. *This is the default option.
• An automatic on-screen pop-up for the employee when completing the sale, in case they forgot to ask the customer.
• On your MiniPeep Touch!  Peeps' Touch Console allows customers to answer the on-screen prompt with tap-to-answer! *Beta in v2.20!

There are some handy new features with the new 'Heard About' system too!

• Show/hide the 'Heard About' button @ POS.
• Automatically prompt or not for Heard About.
• Enable/disable Heard About on your Touch Console.
• If you've already asked and selected a Heard About, but click the Heard About button again, it'll highlight the one you previously selected in bright green.
• Change the selected 'Heard About' on a sale after the fact -- the 'Heard About' button will display the selected Heard About entry, if one is already set on the sale.
• A new Heard About stats report.

You can now automatically capture a Driver License/ID # when scanning IDs!  This is optional and is not enabled by default.  To enable Driver License capture when scanning IDs, click the Settings icon at the top of the Add Account screen.

Once enabled, when a Driver License is successfully scanned into Peeps and the account is added, their Driver License/ID # will be securely stored in their account.

Their Driver License/ID # can be viewed/edited after the fact, by clicking the "ID" button on the More... tab of their account.

All Driver Licenses/IDs are encrypted when stored and are not stored in plain text.

There is also an Access Level associated with viewing/editing Driver Licenses on accounts, which is set to a Level 100 by default.

When booking appointments, instead of Peeps alerting that there is already an appointment on the selected date at the selected time, it now alerts AND lets you choose whether or not you want to book the appointment or not.

The default answer is 'Yes', so hitting Enter on the keyboard accepts the appointment.
