ConsignPro Crash When Printing Receipts

ConsignPro Crash

This week, I’ve had a number of stores encounter an issue where ConsignPro would crash when they were ringing-up a sale.  I immediately jumped to receipt printing being the issue.  I tested a sale with the Print Sales Receipt box un-checked and it didn’t crash.

When I went to check on the printers via Devices and Printers, it just kept trying to load, but never displayed any devices:

System File Checker came back clean:

Services were good, restarting the Print Spooler didn’t help, etc.

I started to manually pull the last few updates that rolled-out on 8/12 — specifically KB4569767 and KB4571729…

And this appears to have alleviated the issue…for now.

So if anyone’s stuck with ConsignPro crashing after the last round of Windows Updates, hopefully this helps a bit.
